ITV Emmerdale's Natalie J. Robb's co-star romance and reveal as she makes admission on Moira's exit

The plot thickens on Emmerdale as the long running soap took a dramatic twist. Spoilers have been circulating and even show bosses have put out warnings that characters could exit the show as the ITV programme ramps up the drama.

Natalie J. Robb, regarded as one of Emmerdale's most beloved figures, has revealed her romance with one of her co-star's as well as giving an insight into how the storyline might unfold. According to the Liverpool Echo, Natalie joined the cast of the show as Moira Barton in 2009.

Since then, she has endured a turbulent time in the fictional Yorkshire village including a rocky romance with first husband John Barton. Having remarried, she is now the partner of Cain Dingle and played a key role in the show's 50th anniversary celebrations last month.

Moira was distraught when her husband was arrested for the murder of Al Chapman and now the plot has taken another dramatic twist when it was revealed Cain's son, Kyle, was the real killer. Cain has since pleaded guilty to try and protect Kyle.

Kyle's mum, Amy, is set to take him away from Emmerdale and spoilers have revealed Moira will also soon be departing the Yorkshire village. Key characters such as Harriet Finch, Liv Dingle and Faith Dingle have been killed off from the show as part of the landmark 50th birthday celebrations.

Show bosses warned up to eight characters could exit the show as part of the anniversary episodes. However, Natalie has offered reassuring news to fans as she confirmed she will not be exiting for good.

She told Metro: "She gets her head round it, she comes back from Belfast and says 'it was a blip,' she’s okay now and she says 'we can make it work, we will make it work'.

"She doesn’t really know deep down whether that is something she can do. But at this stage she thinks 'I’ve got to give it everything' because it’s the love of her life and she’s got a family to him.

"We had a scene together where she says 'I’ll do everything I possibly can to keep this family together'. That’s always been Moira’s thing, she’s fierce about her family.’"

Away from the screen, Natalie's life is, fortunately, less dramatic than her on-screen counterpart. It is understood that the soap star enjoys a close relationship with her cast-members and was previously dating co-star Johnny McPherson, who plays Liam Cavanagh on the ITV soap.

Natalie and Johnny shocked fans when it emerged they were dating and had moved in together during the first coronavirus lockdown. However, the two Emmerdale actors announced they had parted ways last year after surprising fans with their relationship only several months previously.
