Belle's brother and Ellis' dad, Al, have been at war for weeks, and things don't appear to be cooling down.
Cain Dingle is furious with Belle for becoming involved with Ellis, not only because of his feud with Al but also because Ellis almost got her and Cain's son Kyle killed recently.
Spoilers for next week's episodes reveal more information about a phone call that gives Ellis some unexpected news, and suggests that he will break lover Belle Dingle's heart by leaving for good.
Ellis is set to drop some news on his dad Al Chapman, before leaving Belle with a bombshell, as he has been offered a job abroad, and this was what the phone call was about.
Ellis soon tells dad Al he is taking the job, and plans to leave the village soon.
He's left with the difficult task of breaking the news to Belle, ditching her and ending their romance for the new opportunity.
However he doesn't get the chance to tell her the news, as Al mistakenly believes Belle knows the truth and tells her everything.
Belle is furious to realise Ellis is dumping her, and that she had to find out from Al and not him.
By the end of the week, Ellis is set to say his goodbyes to those in the village including his brother Billy Fletcher, with his final scenes seemingly airing next week.
