While Emmerdale fans know that Aaron Dingle's return to the village is temporary, they think they have 'worked out' how he'll exit following a telling comment. Danny Miller has reprised the role of Aaron in the ITV soap to coincide with the programme's 50th anniversary celebrations this month.
Aaron made his return to the Yorkshire Dales during Monday night's episode (October 3) after a year away to be confronted by a mystery man and find his sister Liv Flaherty sprawled out on the floor. And it wasn't long before Aaron was caught up in a fight with bad guy Terry who had just attacked Liv after she uncovered his and her mum Sandra's ploy to steal her money.
And just as Aaron started to swing for Terry, PC Harriet Finch arrived and was soon taking him to the station for questioning over the incident while Liv was taken to hospital in a worrying condition. Later, after being released, Aaron tried to see his sister but Vinny ordered him to leave.

He told Aaron that Liv doesn't need him anymore and in no uncertain terms that she's done with him after he abandoned her at her time of need. As he passed mum Chas and step-dad Paddy in the corridor, Aaron emotionally feared he wouldn't get the chance to make up with Liv, which he said was the reason for his return.
During Tuesday's night episode, Aaron was moping around before his grandmother Faith Dingle shared some wise words. First, she asked if he met anyone special while he was abroad to which Aaron confessed he did. "Don't go rushing back to him too quickly. It's the first time I've seen your mum smile properly in weeks," Faith, who is dying from cancer, told her grandson.
She then told him that he needed to make up with Liv as life is too short and it's family that's the most important thing. As Liv was discharged from hospital, she returned home to find her brother waiting for her. She told him she needed him when people thought she killed Aaron's ex Ben and "could have been locked up for life."
But Aaron told Liv he couldn't handle seeing her excessively drinking and left thinking it was the right thing to do. However, he added how he regretted leaving but that he is here now and wants to "fix things." And it appears the heart-to-heard did the trick as the siblings were soon seen laughing in the kitchen making sandwiches.
As Vinny returned home, Liv was eager to share Aaron's news that he "met someone" in Italy. "Marco from Milan... in construction apparently," Liv said to which Vinny asked: "Does this mean you are going back then?" But Aaron answered: "No actually he's going to come over here. I won't be leaving here again."
And fans think he last comment could hint at how Aaron will be written out of the soap for a second time. @ifeelflames tweeted: "Aaron: 'I won’t be leaving here again' Danny Miller in interviews: 'I’m back for a 6 week stint' Well somethings going to go to s**t then #Emmerdale." But @ballumshouse predicted: "Aaron’s getting killed next week #Emmerdale."
And when @LouiseWraith said: "Certainly looks that way," they replied: "'I’m not leaving here again' Basically has it set in stone." @JayMmmRrr also said: "Danny said he's only on for a 6 week stint. Aaron said he's never leaving again & thus meaning that he is CHOOSING to stay. I say Aaron gets in deep doo-doo & thus is FORCED to leave The Dales by either getting killed or going back to prison. #Emmerdale."
