Emmerdale fans think one of Nicola King's attackers could be someone closer to home. Earlier this week fans of the ITV soap were horrified when the character, played by Nicola Wheeler, was attacked as she tried to get back to her car.
Nicola had been out to a bar with half-sister Bernice Blackstock and Laurel Thomas but decided to leave early as they got chatting to a couple of guys over a drink. As she went back to the multi-story car park, she came across two girls who appeared to be drunk, with both parties sharing sarky comments.
But suddenly, more girls appeared and accosted Nicola. The group tormented Nicola, getting hold of her bag and going through her belongings. They then threw her phone across the ground as well as her keys before making her 'go fetch' them. As she picked up her smashed phone, the group wasn’t prepared to let Nicola walk away and shoved her to the floor.

She was then kicked repeatedly as she begged them to stop. But the other girls just watched on, filming the horrific attack while laughing. Eventually, Nicola was left on the floor, alone, with no one around to help her but during Wednesday night's episode, we did see she had been taken to the hospital, bloodied and bruised from her ordeal.
Since then, Nicola has broken down to husband Jimmy as she fears for her and her family's safety after the girls took her drivers license. PC Harriet Finch has since told the assault victim that there CCTV in the car park wasn't working so they are trying to track down the culprits via the video that was circulated online.
Emmerdale fans have already theorized that one of the attackers could be known to Nicola, after one said she was 'sorry' before running off with the rest of the gang. But following Thursday night's hour-long edition of the Leeds-based soap, fans think another person could be involved - and it would be quite the shock.
During the episode, Nicola's daughter Angelica King, who is also known as "Angel", went to see her mum as she asked: "Have you found the girls that attacked you yet?" Her mother was left confused as they had told the kids they had been in a car accident.
Nicola replied: "How do you know about that?" to which Angel said: "I've seen the video..." leaving her mum horrified. But fans are wondering if there is a lot more to it then that. @i8venkys tweeted: "Was Angel part of the group who attacked Nicola #Emmerdale." @jodi_cheety_x echoed: "Bet one of them girls in emmerdale is angel #emmerdale."
But in the end, viewers were more shocked to know Angel exits at all having not seen her on-screen for a while. @JamieTVandNews said: "Angel exists #Emmerdale." @mikepriestley13 commented: "Angel has grown in years over night. Like a different girl #Emmerdale." @EnfieldGarry shared: "Blimey, that’s Angel. She’s grown quick! #Emmerdale."
@suzysasha wrote: "#Emmerdale Blimey. Angel does exist then? Last time we saw her wasn't she 3." @sukavi2011 added: "Blimey so Angel really exists then, maybe next week we will meet Dotty #emmerdale"
But she hasn't been recast like some may have thought. Angel is still played by Rebecca Bakes. She took on the role of the character in 2009 from Sophie Firth. Sophie played Angelica from birth for three months before Rebecca was cast in the role instead. But Sophie tragically died in 2012 after a shock accident saw her dress caught alight and left with 70 percent burns to her body. She died, aged just three, after nine days in intensive care.
