Emmerdale fans have shared their thoughts on the latest storyline to rock the ITV soap as Suzy Merton's connection to Holly Barton was exposed. The character arrived in the village earlier this year as Vanessa Woodfield's new love interest. But it soon became clear she was also known to Leyla Cavanagh.
While they claimed it was just because they worked in the same circles, it was later revealed that the pair actually took drugs and partied together as Leyla's secret drug use was discovered. Since then, Suzy has stopped her drug use while Leyla continues to secretly self-destruct.
But there was a moment between the pair where the wedding planner threatened to tell Moira Barton about how Suzy had given her daughter Holly money on the night she died from a drug overdose. During Monday night's edition of the ITV soap, the newbie ended up coming clean to Vanessa after a confrontation at The HOP.

During a showcase for both The HOP and Take A Vow, Suzy was unaware of the fact she had used a wedding photo featuring Holly just hours before her death. Jay Sharma was the first to notice, as he was also in attendance at the wedding in question but left earlier than Holly.
Moira was left stunned and desperate for information, saying to Suzy: "Why have you got a photograph of my daughter? I told you how much I missed talking about her, and that no one remembered the real Holly!"
Lying, Suzy told her: "I booked her for a few weddings, she was an amazing photographer, had real potential." But Moira pleaded: "What happened to Holly? I need to know." Suzy replied: "It was so long ago, can you honestly say you remember seeing me?"
While Suzy didn't come clean, she was later confronted by Vanessa who could tell she wasn't telling the truth. As she confessed all, Moira called by to apologise for going off at Suzy and suggested the pair could chat about what she remembers about Holly. After Moira had gone, Vanessa and Suzy resumed their argument.
Suzy begged Vanessa not to say anything about what she'd just admitted to her, arguing it was an "open wound" for her, nevermind Moira. "I am begging you – please, keep this a secret," Suzy pleaded.
But all the while, Emmerdale viewers were distracted by what they believed to be a major photoshop blunder. @FanOfTV05 tweeted: "That photo with Holly was so badly photoshopped #emmerdale." @aaron_dingles commented: "The terrible photoshop of that #emmerdale." @Samanth22356123 added: "That was such a badly photoshopped pic of Holly!! #Emmerdale."
Meanwhile, other viewers weren't sure on the storyline or where it could be heading - particularly as to whether it means Suzy stays or goes. @tracyd1805 said: "Don’t like this storyline at all." @where_you_bin_our_lyn commented: "Suzy needs to go!!!"
Whereas @paigesdestiny shared: "I hope Moira doesn’t find out because I like Suzy." @chodkinskis argued: "Moira will find out who sold Holly the drugs. I love it when the show revisits past storylines."
