Emmerdale fans have flooded ITV bosses with a request to shake up Lisa Riley’s storyline as she posed alongside her work ‘bezzie’ Dominic Burnt.
The actress is best known for playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap since 1995 before taking a 17 year break in 2001 and making a much welcome return in 2018.
And actor Dominic, who is best known for playing Paddy Kirk, has played an important part in some of her storylines. Back in their early days in the Dales their characters had an affair while she was married to her cousin, Butch.

After being disowned by her family and eventually divorcing Butch she married Paddy but later had another affair. Mandy is still looking for love however it’s not looking good for Paddy as his current wife Chas Dingle is having a secret affair with former enemy Al Chapman.
Mandy and Paddy don’t have many scenes together so actress Lisa took it upon herself to share a behind-the-scenes snaps with her pal Dominic on social media.
In the snap the pair can be seen pulling faces for the cameras. Lisa captioned the pic: "THOSE BRILLIANT DAYS…When work doesn’t seem like work with my BEZZIE @dominicbrunt. @emmerdale after all these years-still make each other laugh."
After the sweet snap the comment section was flooded with a request for Emmerdale bosses to have the pair’s characters reunite and give their relationship storyline another go.
@parrswoodmikey1969 said: "Need you both together as a couple....which hopefully comes soon when Paddy finds out about Chas & Al. Pleeeeeeeeaaaase."
@jackiefootitt said: "When Chas finally gets caught with AL . How about Mandy and paddy get back together." @cookinju added: "Mandy and Paddy back together after he finds out what that Chas has been up to."
The comment section was also full of celebrity pals, Lisa's on-screen son Bradley Johnson was among the first to respond, writing: "Love this!!! Simply the best." Michelle Hardwick, who stars as Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV soap, commented: " The best duo." Irish actress Victoria Smurfit also said: "Gorgeous pair of eejits," alongside a crying laughing emoji.
