Tracy Metcalfe is set to make her dramatic return to Emmerdale next week.
The character, played by Amy Walsh, has not been seen in the fictional Yorkshire village since the soap's 50th birthday celebrations last October. She quit after Nate Robinson had an affair and left with her daughter for a new life in Nottingham.
Her brief return saw them rekindle their relationship but they were both dating other characters so she once again exited the show. Tracy will make her surprise return on Monday's show when she is spotted wearing a wedding dress outside the Registry Office.

Nate will react furiously to the news of the wedding and head down to the town hall as he aims to crash Tracy's plans to tie the knot with her mystery new partner. Away from the screen, Amy took a break from the show as she took maternity leave.
She started dating EastEnders actor Toby-Alexander Smith after they met in the audience at Strictly Come Dancing just before the pandemic - and the two welcomed their first child, Bonnie, into the world in 2021.
Amy said she was thrilled to make her regular return to the soap after two years away as she told Mirror Online: "I just feel like I’ve come back and never been away. It just feels so normal for me to be here. I said to my mum a couple of days in, I was like I’ve never felt more at home than I have there. I feel so comfortable here and it’s felt the same."
Amy enjoys a close relationship with the crew and admitted she has found it tough to juggle her return to the soap while raising her child. She said: "I’ve cried a few times in the make up chair out of pure exhaustion or dropping my child off at nursery. I went in in tears, and they were like, we won’t do your face first, we’ll do your hair.
"I thought I used to be tired, I always complained about being tired before, but now I’m like how am I doing this? It’s hard, I’m not gonna lie, but that’s because my child isn’t sleeping at the moment. Just the hours you’re here, you leave at seven and then you’re back in the building at seven. You’ve got to bath and bed your child and then make your dinner and then do your lines for the next day, talk to your other half and then get back and go again."
Amy is happily in a relationship with her famous partner and the two got engaged in Ibiza last year. She issued a gushing tribute to her fiance on Father's Day as she said: "Sitting here feeling unbelievably grateful that I found you and you are the man I am doing this with. We love you so much and are so grateful for all that you do for us! Now come home please we miss you already! Happy Father’s Day to the most beautiful man."
