Joey Essex came under fire on tonight's Dancing On Ice after he attempted to kiss his partner.
The TOWIE star donned the skates alongside professional, Vanessa Bauer, in the latest edition of the ITV programme. It was movie week on the greatest show on ice and Joey performed a routine inspired by High School Musical.
However, fans were taken aback as Vanessa pulled back from Joey's attempt to kiss her at the end of the dance. Host Phillip Schofield probed Joey about the incident as he asked: "Nearly a little peck at the end there?"

Joey responded: "First time I've kissed on live TV." However, viewers following the show on Twitter criticised the moment as they branded it "uncomfortable".
Ryan said: "Vanessa's reaction to that attempted kiss was all of us watching. Super cringe"
TVNA added: "Did Joey Essex just kiss that girl on live tv omg she looked uncomfortable"
Ryan posted: "Vanessa rejecting Joey's kiss just then was very awkward"
Stef commented: "Well that was an awkward forced kiss attempt at the end there"
Dave tweeted: "Joey attempting to kiss Vanessa was very cringe"
Carl said: "I think Joey was a bit out of order with that kiss seem to have made Vanessa uncomfortable"
