Two perfect 10s were handed out for Brendan Cole after his performance on Dancing On Ice this week but home grown skating aces Torvill and Dean failed to complete the perfect score leaving some fans confused.
This week's semi final of the ITV show, which aired on Sunday, March 13, saw Brendan Cole, Kimberly Wyatt, Regan Gascoigne, Kye Whyte and Connor Ball all battling for perfection.
Contestants were asked to perform routines that had personal meaning and Brendan Cole selected a tune which he dedicated to his wife, model Zoe Hobbs. Brendan and skating partner Vanessa Bauer skated to Elvis Costello's 'She'.
As the scores came for the skating duo from judges Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo, Brendon and Vanessa bagged perfect 10s. However, when it came to the scores the Nottingham born champions Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean they both marked the pair 9.5.
Fans of the show, which is hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, soon took to social media to react. One fan posting on Twitter said: "I think Kimberly is great and exciting to watch but she made 2 mistakes one being a very noticeable lift. How can they be okay with scoring that a 10 and Brendan made 0 mistakes and got 9.5 with no reason?"
Another said: "So Jayne and Chris as you didn't give a reply to Phil's question why did you not give a 10 to Brendan when his dance was perfect, and Kimberly's was not. Why can we not for once have a programme that is not fixed by the Judges."
With a third adding: "Gorgeous. But why are Chris and Jane picking on him.!
But while some thought Brendan should have had straight 10s, not everyone agreed. After taking a tumble during a solo routine one fan of the show said: "So Brendan literally fell on his face but didn’t come last"
Another commenting on his performance in the show said: "Brendan's Skating hasn't improved one iota. Not doing anything more technically difficult than week one. Quite an empty routine, I don't see the chemistry between them either. Overscored. Audience cheers for an assisted half leap?"
