He's already made a dramatic start to this season's Dancing on Ice and now Happy Mondays star Bez has tested positive for Covid-19.
After appearing in the first show of the series covered in padding and a crash helmet, Bez soon grabbed viewers attention.
Now the musician has hit the headlines again as Manchester Evening News reports that their home grown contestant has had a positive test for coronavirus.
Bez has now temporarily pulled out of the ITV show and has been forced into isolation.
He is partnered with reigning skating champion Angela Egaown for the show.
According to reports, fans can expect Bez to make a return to TV screens on Sunday, January 30, for week three's show.
Bandmate Rowetta shared a message from Bez on Twitter yesterday evening, Monday, January 17. He said he was 'gutted' to be missing training.
"I’ve had a positive test," Bez confirmed.
"I’m gutted because I’m going to be missing training but I’m looking forward to skating on the show again for week three and I’ll be tuning at home and cheering on my mates who are skating this weekend."
An ITV spokesperson said: "We have stringent protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of all our contributors and staff which are routinely monitored and updated to reflect the current guidelines."
The Happy Monday's star came out bottom of the leader board in Sunday's opening show.
After completing his routine, Bez told the judges he was wearing protective clothing from head to toe and was the first contestant to take to the ice in a helmet.
Dancing On Ice returns on Sunday at 6.30pm on ITV
