However, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean asked all of tonight's skaters to perform two unassisted jumps and land both on one foot.
While Connor landed his first jump, the second didn't go quite to plan.
Connor ended up tangled with Alexandra and both fell onto the ice.
However, The Vamps star didn't let that unnerve him as he carried on with the routine.
And Connor didn't put a foot wrong as he finished the mesmerising performance.
While the judges slightly marked Connor down for the mistake, he still scored 40.5.
And fans at home felt he did extremely well, with some saying it was the best of the night.
Collie tweeted: "Really feel for Connor and Alex this week, even after having a tumble, I still feel it was worth more than an 8! Good luck for next week."
Sarah said: "When Connor fell my heart just sank because everything was so beautiful otherwise."
Adam tweeted: "Connor’s performance is actually my fave of the night, it’s a shame about the fall."
And Shelley said: "Gutted for Connor. That was such a good routine too! Definitely deserving of 8’s, shame he fell as he was on the road for 9’s!"
