Regular viewers of ITV's Dancing On Ice are used to drama and, following the shock exit of one of the show's contestants, judge Ashley Banjo has spoken out over the "furious" comments that followed.
Ashley broke his silence on the topic of Ben Foden being the first to leave after Foden's wife slammed the show.
Ben's exit at the beginning of the current series left many fans stunned. But it wasn't just fans who were left shocked. According to Birmingham Mail his wife voiced her fury in the aftermath of him being sent home and took to Twitter to issue a scathing statement.
Ashley's fellow judges on the show are ex BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse, as well as legendary figure skating duo Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean. Holly Willoughby once again presents the series, alongside Phillip Schofield.
After his exit, Ben's partner blasted the show and said she was glad to be getting back to the United States. Ben was eliminated before the likes of Ria Hebden, Bez and Sally Dynevor.
Ashley said of Ben: "His lifts were strong and he and his partner Robin [Johnstone] executed the routine really well," Ashley told the Mirror.
He added: "But him leaving first just showed us how tough the competition is in this series. Everyone is brilliant."
ITV Dancing on Ice has a week off next weekend as the channel broadcasts Six Nations rugby union instead. Dancing on Ice's semi final will be competed by Brendan Cole and Kimberly Wyatt, as well as Connor Ball, Kye White and also Regan Gascoigne.
