ITV Corrie star cousins show wild side with gorgeous autumnal looks as they hit red carpet for The Lion King

Coronation Street star cousins Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach showed off their autumnal styles as they hit the red carpet ahead of seeing The Lion King in Manchester. The pair were among some of the celebrity faces who headed out to Manchester's Palace Theatre to see the Dinsey classic on stage.

The show, based on the hit 1990s Disney movie, opened for previews in Manchester on October 27, with a red carpet premiere taking place on Tuesday night (November 1). And ahead of our local stars heading out ot see the show, it was revealed that The Lion King will stay on for an extra THREE weeks of shows in Manchester until March 2023, making it one of the longest-running shows in recent Manchester theatre history at an epic 19 weeks.

As well as the stars of Corrie, Emmerdale, Strictly Come Dancing, Gogglebox, and England Women's football team, our very own reporter Bethan Shufflebotham went to see the legendary movie come to life, and said "it's the most visually spectacular show I've ever seen."

Hitting the red carpet, Brooke, who starred as Sophie Webster on the cobbles from 2004 to 2019 when she headed off to focus on growing and bringing up her young family, brought out her inner animal for the evening by donning a gorgeous leopard print skirt. The actress, from Audenshaw, paired the figure-hugging number with a black roll-neck jumper before throwing over a leather jacket.

She clutched onto a dark green bag as she smiled for the waiting cameras while her recently dyed brunette locks were styled into flowing curls with her classic bangs framing her face.

Ellie, who plays Faye Windass in the ITV soap and is also Brooke's real-life younger cousin, also added a bit of animal print into her outfit, adding a silk scarf to her black bag which hung across her body on a gold chain. The 21-year-old looked gorgeous in black high-neck jumper which she wore tucked in to a matching mini skirt.

To brighten up the look, the smiling soap star added a beige, cropped jacket and added a pair of opaque tights for some extra layers. Brooke and Ellie were also joined at the official premier by former co-star Faye Brookes. The former Kate Connor actress also stuck to classic darker theme with her outfit.

She was snapped wearing black trousers and matching top under a chunky leather jacket. She added her quilted black bag over her body while her brunette tresses were kept straight as they brushed her shoulders.

Former Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas, meanwhile, made it a family affair. The actor made his way onto the red carpet, complete with his own grey flat cap, alongside wife Caroline and their son, Teddy. Their young son beamed for the cameras as he clutched onto his own Lion King tote bag. Caroline cut a stylish figure in a smart beige rollneck under a long-line grey coat and long black boots.

The new dates added for The Lion King in Manchester will run from Tuesday 21 February to Saturday 11 March. Priority tickets for the extension will be available from 8am on Wednesday, November 2, before going on general sale at 10am that day.

It comes after theatre bosses said the new dates have been added after "phenomenal demand" for the musical's big return to the city. Already 200,000 tickets have been sold for the initial weeks of performances
