Coronation Street's Jude Riordan issued a "proud" message as a Merseyside act progressed to the Britain's Got Talent final.
St Helens youngster Jamie Leahey finished in second place during last night's edition of the ITV contest. The ventriloquist act was beaten to top spot by Max Thorpe - and they will be two of 10 acts competing in Sunday's grand finale.
The 13-year-old - and his puppet Chuck - received a standing ovation from the crowd and still has a chance to perform at the prestigious Royal Variety. Jamie was being cheered on throughout last night's episode by fellow St Helens native, Jude Riordan.

The talented 11-year-old has wowed soap audiences with his performances as Sam Blakeman in Coronation Street. He was gushing with pride when Jamie's place in Sunday's programme was sealed.
He tweeted: "Jamie you are brilliant! Making St Helens proud." A representative of the The Steve Prescott Foundation, a charity set up in honour of the legendary St Helens rugby league player, said Jamie should be a contender for the @ImperialBar1 Arts Award.
It added: "#StHelens we are truly blessed." Jude is the most recent winner of the award and he agreed with the statement.
He said :"AGREE. C'mon @JamieLeahey01 you can do this #BGT FINALS."
