Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has made a cheeky comment about her new partner after confirming her new romance with her former on-screen husband. The actress, who plays Toyah Habeeb in the ITV soap, went 'Instagram official' with Charlie De Melo at the end of last month with a string of snaps from her birthday break.
The couple headed off to Edinburgh where Georgia was celebrating her 43rd birthday. Georgia first posted a picture of the scenic view of the city from the top of the ancient volcano which is the main peak of the group of hills in Edinburgh. Meanwhile, a second image showed both Georgia and Charlie posing for a selfie.
The Wigan-born soap star cosied up in a teal-coloured beanie hat and patchwork scarf while she sported a khaki-coloured coat and a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses. Meanwhile, Charlie, who left ITV's Corrie last year after Imran Habeed died following a car accident caused by Toyah, sported a black coat as he grinned towards the camera.
Georgia then appeared to want to share another more from their trip as she posted two more strings of images to Instagram. In one snap, Georgia and Charlie posed together with Edinburgh Castle sitting in the background while another showed Georgia tucking into a local delicacy.
"Birthday weekend. An ancient volcano, a castle, many, many, many steps, deep-fried confectionery and a very fine moustachioed gentleman," she captioned the lovely post. And now, Georgia has joked that there is one reason she has decided to strike up a relationship with her former co-star.
"I’m only with him for the puppies," she typed along and Instagram post which featured a string of adorable pups and their mum, Sarah. Charlie was supported by his own social media followers when he revealed he was once again doing his bit for Guide Dogs UK. The former soap star has previously been described by the charity as a 'doggy doula'.
Charlie’s family kindly volunteer to have one of the charity's guide dog mums in their lives and all the puppies will go on to train to become life-changing guide dogs for people with sight loss. Taking to his social media account last week, Charlie introduced his followers to the beloved pooch's new litter.
"Sarah and her nuggets. Day 1,” Charlie captioned the post. There were also videos of the pups as they were born as well as a sweet snap of Sarah with her four-legged brood. He has since been sharing regular updates and Georgia's post has also racked up the comments.
@zoe_mountjoy78 joked: "I’d even go out with him just to hug those adorable puppies." @jjacqui_moran_7 commented: "A whole bundle of absolute happiness." @_tinadonaldson replied: "Oh my god the 4th photo. Adorable! You look beautiful too." @papabouchier shared: "Omg STOP! Too cute." @amanda.bowers.3152 added: "OMG how adorable! I would want to sit and cuddle them all day! So beautiful."
