Coronation Street star Antony Cotton took to social media with a beautiful tribute to his co-star Sally Dynevor as she celebrated her birthday. The actor, best known for playing Sean Tully in the ITV soap, couldn't help but share some kind words about his friend as she marked turning another year older on Saturday (May 28).
Antony shared a picture of the pair in front of a pool at an exotic-looking location. They were joined for the photo by partner Peter Eccleston, with Sally flashing a smile between the loved-up pair.
"Happy Birthday to one of my favourite humans - @sallydynevor," the 46-year-old started his post. "I've absolutely loved being friends for the past 19 years. My goodness we’ve laughed, so much!

"And what a treat to be able to see @phoebedynevor, @samdynevor and @hattiedynevorr grow into such beautiful people. Hope you’ve had a great day my darling. No doubt @dynevortim is making sure you don’t end up in Soho House at too late an hour!"
He ended the post: "Love you Sal, more than you’ll ever know," before adding the hashtag 'Do Not Stand Near The Platform Edge," clearly referring to an inside joke between the pair.
Sally, who turns 59 on May 30, soon replied: "Oh Antony, love you. Thank you for being the best friend ever l. I feel so incredibly lucky." Young Corrie star Kyran Bowes, who plays Jack Webster in the ITV soap, wrote: "Happy birthday @sallydynevor hope you’ve had a lovely day."
And fans were soon commenting their own birthday messages as well as sharing how sweet they thought Antony's tribute was. @wendi.donaldson said: "Such a very sweet loving message! Happy Birthday Sal!
@ells_bells29 commented: "Happy birthday! I've watched you on Corrie (years ago), breast awareness campaign on Lorraine and then watched you acing it on DOI. Go you! You showcase we, slightly, older ladies."
Ryan Thomas, who starred in Corrie as Jason Grimshaw from 2000 to 2016, also shared his own dedication on his Instagram page. Sharing a photo of the pair to his Instagram Story, the 37-year-old wrote: "One of the most kindest, most beautiful humans in the world. Happy Birthday @sallydynevor."
It appears Sally was having a lovely day with her daughter Hattie and husband Tim, who is also well known in the TV world. The actress, who has played Sally Metcalfe - nee Webster - in the ITV soap for more than 35 years, shared photos of them dining outdoors to her Instagram Story.
"Birthday weekend," Hattie captioned the post alongside a red heart. The picture showed her mum keeping warm with a blanket over her shoulders while wearing a pair of dark shades as a birthday candle burned in a bowl of ice cream.
