Coronation Street stars Harriet Bibbey and James Craven have been dubbed 'so cute' as they posed for some very chocolatey snaps. Harriet, who plays Summer Spellman in the ITV soap, took to Instagram to share some snaps of herself alongside James Craven who plays on-screen boyfriend Aaron Sandford.
The images related to scenes that aired during Tuesday night's edition of Corrie after it was moved due to Women's football airing later in the week. The teen lovebirds were seen pondering how to spend their time together after Aaron wanted her to experience flying a kite. However, they couldn't get hold of one and Summer suggested the alternative of indoor skydiving.
Summer was checking her banking app to see how much money she had to spare when Aaron revealed that he had confiscated his abusive alcoholic dad’s wallet to stop him buying booze. But rather than just cash, Aaron then pulled out a bag of cannabis. As he suggested they take it, a worried Summer confided in him that she had once ended up in hospital after accidentally taking spice a few years ago.
But it wasn't long before viewers saw the pair sat on the sofa back in Summer's flat which she shares with her guardian Billy Mayhew. They were wearing cooking aprons and were covered in chocolate with bowls of cake mix around them. And soon, Billy and former partner Todd Grimshaw found the giggly pair after feasting on freshly- baked weed brownies.
Billy was freaking out as the Bishop was due to visit and as Todd ushered Aaron and Summer into her room, he arrived. As he left the bedroom where he'd been trying to keep the young couple from reappearing, Todd caught the bishop about to try one of the brownies and yelled at him to stop.
Todd said he had made them for a bake sale but his efforts were was too late as he confessed he'd already eaten one. Taking to Instagram with photos taken while filming the hilarious scenes, Harriet penned: "Well that was a fun one."
Corrie co-star bestie Elle Mulvaney, who plays Amy Barlow in the ITV soap, was quick to comment: "So cute." And fans were quick to giggle over the snaps and comment about how much they enjoyed the very unusual scenes.
