ITV Corrie fans stunned as 'Catherine Tate' makes a surprise appearance in the soap

Coronation Street fans were stunned as they thought they spotted comedian and actress Catherine Tate in a guest role on the ITV soap. As viewers watched scenes involving Summer Spellman and Aadi Alahan taking their exams they were stunned to see a look-alike of the Doctor Who star.

They commented an angry invigilator who hauled Aadi from the exam room was a dead ringer for Catherine. @Samanth22356123 tweeted: "That invigilator - Catherine Tate!!"

@mikepriestley13 said: "The examiner lady looks like Catherine Tate." FLady1980 commented: "#corrie that teacher looks like catherine tate lol." And @PhilipCSwales said: "Calm down, Catherine Tate."
