Max Turner lurched into another drama on Coronation Street on Monday night after being expelled over his revenge attempts on teacher Daniel Osbourne. Max, who earlier this year spiked Amy Barlow at a school dance with a drink intended for Daniel and had upskirt photos of Summer Spellman on his phone, recently found a love interest in a friend from his new school called Sonya.
But 15-year-old Max, played by Paddy Bever, is in serious trouble again, this time after being drawn into a catfishing plot. As Max prepared for his date with Sonya he received a message from the teen asking him to send her a nude photo.
Then over dinner he was horrified as Sonya revealed she’d never received any messages from him and she hadn't sent any to him. But Max insisted they had been messaging for weeks.

Max and Sonya were dumfounded to realise someone had set them up. Outside Max’s phone pinged with a message demanding £1,000 or his naked picture would go viral.
Panicking he took his dad David Platt's bank card and tried to transfer the cash until he was asked for security details and hung up. And the terrible truth emerged as David angrily confronted him after he was alerted by the bank.
Max confessed and when David said he was going to the police Shona told him he couldn't. "He's been sending porno pics it's illegal," she said. Then Max dropped another bombshell. "It's worse than that, Sonya's underage," he said, explaining that she was also 15.
David, played by Jack P Shepherd, hit the roof at the revelation and the family were left wondering what to do as Max begged them to pay out to stop the blackmail. And Corrie fans were left divided over Max's latest predicament.
@MeeshyJay tweeted: "I never thought I’d say this but poor Max." And @Siralanhe wrote: "#corrie aww poor Max." But @TraylorHolmes said: "Max kinda deserves this after all the vile things he’s done."
@arlawrencewrite exclaimed: "Oh dear… is this karma for Max or what?" And @Sasha_Rose said: "Ah poor Max, I feel bad for him but hes done such s****y things in the past."
