Coronation Street fans were amazed to see Kevin Webster appear to grow a full beard by the end the soap's latest instalment. Viewers were startled when the mechanic appeared to flit from a more clean-shaven look at the start of Friday night's episode to sporting a 'full beard' in less than hour.
Soap watchers have recently seen Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, reunited with his wife Abi after Kevin discovered the grieving mum had a one-night stand following the murder of her son Seb Frankin. Drug addict Abi relapsed and in shocking scenes she gave birth to a baby boy after going into labour at the side of a road.
Kevin is now supporting his wife, who he married in November, in her custody battle for baby Alfie after he was placed in care following the death of his father Imran Habeeb. Kevin admitted he still had feelings for Abi as she planned to flee with Abi to Costa Rica before the horror crash that killed Imran.

In dramatic scenes Kevin was by Abi's side as she went back to court to plead for custody of Alfie. And Corrie fans noticed that Kev managed to change his look by the end of the hour-long episode.
Viewers noticed that he had short facial hair at the start, when his son Jack unfortunately overheard how Kevin had an affair with Molly Dobbs behind Tyrone’s back, resulting in his birth. And at the end, as Kevin waved an overjoyed Abi off to make a new start with Alfie, fans clocked he had a 'full beard.'

And @krustycakes asked: "Catching up with Corrie…wtf is going on with Kevin’s beard?" At the hearing there was relief for Abi after she criticised the judicial system to a woman sitting nearby, who turned out to the the judge.
Believing she’d ruined any chance she had, Abi listens as the local authority solicitor listed her failings as a mother and recommended that Alfie remained in care. But after Abi made a heartfelt plea the judge ordered that Alfie be placed with Abi in a mother and baby foster facility where she will be assessed.
Then there was a shock twist as Abi was introduced to Wendy Papadapoulos their foster carer, who is Ken Barlow's ex Wendy Crozier. When Abi revealed she’s from Coronation Street, Wendy kept her counsel.
