Coronation Street fans were gobsmacked at scenes featuring Abi Franklin's relapse.
Sunday's edition of the ITV soap continued to show the mechanic's spiral after Kevin Webster discovered she had cheated on him.
The character, played by Michael Le Vell, was about to give his wife a second chance in the hour-long episode.

However, he returned home to find Abi high on drugs with her dealer, Dean Turnbull.
Kevin was furious with his wife after he found a substance on a family photo.
She hit back: "Once a junkie, always a junkie. You knew what you were getting in to."
The episode was broadcast in an unfamiliar slot at 8pm on Sunday and viewers following the show on Twitter were concerned the dramatic scenes aired before the watershed.
