Coronation Street stars Charlotte Jordan and Jack P Shepherd brought their off-screen partners along as they tried out a new festive cinema in Manchester. The actors, known for playing Daisy Midgley and David Platt in the ITV soap, hit the red carpet at the launch of Backyard’s Cinema’s first venture in the North of England.
After a decade of creating wondrous cinema experiences in London, the creators of the unique cinema experience finally landed in Manchester last weekend with a 330-capacity purpose-built cinema on the roof of Depot Mayfield complete with an enchanted forest, plus two bars, street food vendors and a live music stage.
Despite having already been open for a few days, the Corrie stars and other recognisable TV faces went to give it a try on Thursday night (October 27)
Jack, who has played David in Corrie for more than 20 years, cut a smart figure in a white jumper which he teamed with black trousers and lace-up boots, as he was joined by his glamorous girlfriend Hanni Treweek at the launch. The 34-year-old posed for the cameras on the red carpet with a tender arm around his partner
Hanni looked gorgeous in a grey jumper with a chunky roll-neck and black leather mini skirt. The fashion social media influencer, who met Jack while working behind the scenes on Corrie, added a black blazer to the number and donned a pair of sheer tights and leather boots. The brunette beauty completed her outfit with a Dior saddle bag and added a slick of bold red lipstick to her lips.
The couple's latest outing comes after Hanni supported her man as he achieved a new career milestone. Jack ditched Manchester for a special trip to Blackpool earlier this month as he was officially immortalised in wax at the seaside resort's Madame Tussauds and it was the soap star who got to personally unveil the new figure. He came face to face with his wax version for the first time alongside Hanni and his mum, Janet.
As well as his celebrity followers reacting to his first selfie with himself, Hanni also shared a gushing message: "I’m so happy for you!! I know how much this means to you & it’s such an incredible achievement, congratulations to @mtblackpool @madametussauds the waxwork is so authentic, I know you’ll look after him (well David Platt) but I’ll always love the person who plays him."
Also at the Backyard Cinema Manchester launch was Charlotte who was accompanied by her man, Paul. The Corrie actress, who joined the ITV soap back in 2020 as Jenny Connor's former step-daughter, showed off her taut abs on the red carpet as she donned a black roll-neck crop top with white baggy jeans and chunky black boots.
She teamed the look with a black leather jacket while her other half matched her, as he was pictured in a black polo shirt under a black leather jacket with a fluffy fur collar and a pari of skinny black jeans. Charlotte tends to keep her private life just that. But what we do know is that she and Paul share an adorable French Bulldog, named Olive, who regularly makes an appearance on the former Netflix star's Instagram page.
Also joining them on the carpet was former on-screen love interests Rob Mallard and Kimberly-Hart Simpson. Fans will know Rob for playing Daniel Osbourne in Corrie, while Kimberly appeared twice in the soap as Nicky Wheatley. The pair were all smiles as they posed together on the red carpet, months after they parted ways on the Salford-based show's set when Kimberly left for a second time.
Kimberly, 35, who recently announced she''' be joining Sky Comedy Brassic alongside Michelle Keegan, cut a stylish figure at the event as she posed in a black leather shirt and a matching bralette. The 35-year-old paired the tops with a pair of matching trousers which boasted large splits at the front revealing a pair of shiny ankle boots.
She also donned a crossbody bag while her glossy blonde locks had been styled into beach waves. Kimberly posed alongside Rob who cut a casual figure in a navy blue round-neck top and denim jeans which he paired with a black puffa jacket and grey Nike trainers.
Also attending the launch was Corrie's Mollie Gallagher, former soap star Faye Brookes, Married At First Sight UK 2022's Sophie Brown and Adrian Sanderson, and Emmerdale actress Jessie Elland.
