Coronation Street star Ellie Leach is set to leave the hit ITV show after 12 years - and it will be a huge storyline. That is according to widespread national reports, with the summer storyline reportedly under wraps for the timebeing.
Ellie plays character Faye and during her time on the show she has been involved in some major stories, including a teen pregnancy and early menopause, The Mirror reports. It is understood the character, who is the daughter of Tim, will not be killed off so she can return one day.
A source told The Sun: "Ellie’s been on the soap since she was 10 years old so it’s all she’s known, she sees the cast like an extension of her family. She’s sad to be leaving, but grateful that her character won’t be killed off.
