ITV Coronation Street's Sean Ward 'lost home, car and teeth due to anti-vax views'

Former soap star Sean Ward claims he is now homeless due to 'work drying up' after he aired his controversial coronavirus views.

Earlier this year, the Our Girl star shared snaps of himself attending an anti-vax protest and has gone on to claim he lost almost everything after airing his beliefs.

In a lengthy Instagram post, he explained why he decided to air his anti-vax views, as he wrote: "So two years ago after long deliberation I decided I could no longer stay quiet. I raised my head from the trenches and joined the ranks that many would consider conspiracy theorists and tin foil hat wearing fools."

The 33-year-old admitted he had to hand back the keys to his four-bedroom house and put his belongings into storage because he could no longer afford the rent.

He later had to also sell all of his belongings as he could no longer afford the storage fees either.

The actor admitted that he has been sleeping on a mattress in a friend's spare room for over a year now.

Explaining how the coronavirus pandemic had affected him, he wrote: "Firstly the work dried up. No one would hire me whether in front of or behind the camera, all my usual ways of making money just stopped, eventually I couldn’t afford the rent.

"So I gave up my 4 bed house and move onto my friend’s couch. I had to put all my belongings into storage. After a while I couldn’t afford to pay the storage bill and after about 4 weeks of missing the payments – equating to about £500 – Safe store UK sold all belongings.

"My sofa, my bed frame, my office equipment, desk, chair, wardrobes, mirrors, all my coats and clothes and my projector.

"Everything to fill a family house. My whole life was in that storage unit. I lost it all. I was devastated but I couldn’t ask anyone for help because it was my choice to speak out.

He continued: "Luckily I got my mattress out in time and I’ve been sleeping on that in a friend’s spare room for over a year now. He has given me a safe space when I really needed it.

"I haven’t paid any rent to this man and it makes me extremely tearful when I think how amazing that really is."

He went on to say that he has also since lost his car as he couldn't afford the payments for that either and the stress of it all has been causing his teeth to fall out.

Sean explained: "I've been living with the worst teeth pain for a year now, then my beard began to fall out.

"I lost so much weight, I was mentally drained and felt so lost on my own."

But despite all of the hardship that he has endured in the past year, the soap star says it was all worth it if it "saved one life."
