ITV Coronation Street's Sean Tully's apology sparks concerned viewers to issue plea

Coronation Street viewers issued a plea after Sean Tully's apology.

The character has recently became embroiled in a relationship with Frank Bardsley on the long-running soap. However, George Shuttleworth has been concerned by the romance as he recognised Frank as his school bully.

George has kept the revelation a secret to Sean, but he overheard Frank's violent side in tonight's episode. The character, played by Simon O'Brien, was threatening someone on the phone, which prompted George to share his concerns with Sean.

The character, played by Antony Cotton, confronted his partner and ended the relationship. Frank later explained he was acting in a threatening manner because he was helping a friend prepare for an acting audition.

This twist prompted Sean to apologise to Frank as he promised to take whatever George says "with a pinch of salt". However, viewers following the show on Twitter predicted Frank's dark side will eventually come to the fore and urged Sean to "wake up".

Justin said: "Sean, wake up. Frank is George’s bully."

Doreen posted: "The trouble now Sean is not going to believe a word George says about Frank which will make it easier for Frank to manipulate him"

Georgia posted: "I see violence involving George Sean and Frank!"

Alf commented: "Is Frank the next villain?"

Christina said: "Frank is LYING it’ll all come out in the end"

Callum said: "Frank is definitely gonna abuse and manipulate Sean isn't he?"

Jamie tweeted: "Frank's gonna start bullying George again and it's not gonna be fun to watch."
