Coronation Street star Millie Gibson showed off her first inking as she took in the sights while on her Italian break. The actress, known for playing Kelly Neelan in the ITV soap, has swapped Weatherfield for northern Sardinia after filming her final scenes for the show.
The 18-year-old was joined by her Corrie pals last month as they said farewell to their young co-star at her packed leaving bash on Salford Quays. Many of the soap's favourites were pictured as they headed to The Alchemist bar in a series of glam ensembles.
Millie has been a huge hit since joining the show two years ago as Kelly. And in June she won a prestigious British Soap Award for Best Newcomer for her work on the soap. Her character has been embroiled in some of the show's most dramatic ever scenes since arriving as the troubled teen tearaway. That included her part in the horrifying assault of Seb Franklin in the soap's hate crime storyline and ensuing dramatic court case.
While her exit hasn't officially been confirmed yet, Millie is expected to be leaving in an "explosive" storyline later this year. Taking to her Instagram Story to mark the end of the month, the teen shared a series of photos and said: "Last month on the cobbles..."
One picture showed Millie sat in the make-up chair at the soap's Salford-based ITV studio. She could be seen donning a cute blue top and comfy blue shorts as one of the show's make-up artist worked her magic. Her blonde locks looking luscious as they fell in curls down her back with little plaits at the front framing her face.
Another showed her alongside her soap 'mum and dad' Samia Longchambon and Mikey North, who plays Gary and Maria Windass, on a recent night out prior to her exit. The trio were snapped tucking into a bottle of champagne, again at Corrie hotspot The Alchemist. The trio grinned for a selfie and Millie, from Broadbottom, was seen holding onto the aforementioned ice bucket which had a bottle of Moet firmly inside.
And a third image showed Millie, during her leaving do, planting a kiss on the cheek of her soap bestie Tanisha Gorey, who plays Corrie's Asha Alahan. The departing soap star looked stunning in a figure-hugging black dress while Tanisha looked equally as gorgeous in crop top and matching trousers. She could be seen grinning for the camera as she placed a gentle hand on her co-star's face.
But since waving goodbye to her soap family, Millie has jetted off to warmer climes. Taking to Instagram on Thursday (September 1), Millie shared a series of beautiful snaps, writing: "S ummer in sept," with a red wine emoji.
She could be seen in the first images showing off her delicate red butterfly tattoo in the centre of her shoulders which she had done last month. Millie played with the tie on her dress as she looked out over the balcony to her pool and the skyline in the distance as the sun started to set.
She then showed off her full look, posing for the camera to show off her halter-neck white dress with striped detailing that featured a front slit. Millie looked away from the camera to show her tresses tied into a bun before she posed again, looking directly into the camera and giving a flash of her dark red lips.
