Coronation Street's Lisa George was quick to respond as she was mistaken for another soap star after enjoying a sweet reunion with her former on-screen niece. The actress, who is known for playing Beth Sutherland (Tinker) in the ITV soap, headed out earlier this week to support former Corrie star Ian Puleston-Davies as he celebrated his film directing debut.
Ian, who famously played hot-headed Owen Armstrong on the soap from 2010 to 2015, also wrote the movie Bolan's Shoes, which premiered at the Manchester Film Festival on Saturday night and a huge number his former co-stars from over the years headed to the red carpet event.
And it meant there was a happy reunion for Lisa and Katie McGlynn, who played Sinead Tinker, Beth's niece, in the ITV soap from 2013 up until her tragic death in 2019. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (March 22), Katie, who ha since starred in Hollyoaks posted a selfie of the former soap relatives together at the film event.
