Coronation Street's Jude Riordan has issued a tribute to his Emmerdale dad.

The St Helens star is renowned for his role as Sam Blakeman on the long-running ITV soap. The 12-year-old hails from a talented family as his dad, Paul, leads a successful career as a television director.

He broke through in a behind the scenes role in Hollyoaks before he went on to earn directing credits for popular soaps such as Emmerdale, Casualty and Coronation Street.
