Jack James Ryan has shared his support to his 'brillant' co-star after she confirmed her last scenes on Coronation Street. The actor, who plays Jacob Hay in the ITV soap, took to Twitter to praise the actress who is the second person to announce their Weatherfield exit this week.
Lucy Avison played Chloe Pearson for nine episodes of the Weatherfield-based soap - the social worker assigned to Abi’s son Alfie Franklin. And with the baby now back in his mum's care, with the help of Ken Barlow's former flame Wendy Crozier, it appears her services are no longer needed - for now.
Taking to Twitter, actress Lucy wrote: "Hey folks! Just letting you know that tonight is my last appearance as Chloe Pearson @itvcorrie I had such a wonderful experience, what started as one episode became nine!!!"

Actress Vicky Myers, who is familiar to viewers of the Salford-based soap for portraying DS Swain, echoed Jack's comments, writing: "It was a joy to meet you Lucy and you were brilliant, as always! Hope our paths cross again!"
