Georgia Taylor looked ready to defend her case as she faced the heat while filming upcoming Coronation Street scenes - and we don't just mean the weather. The actress, who plays Toyah Habeeb in the ITV soap, has found herself back at court as her character faces trial for murder.
Last month fans were horrified when it appeared to be confirmed that Toyah was responsible for the crash that killed her new husband, Imran Habeeb. The pair had faced a difficult time before their marriage after it was revealed that the solicitor was the father of Abi Webster's surprise baby, who she named Alfie.
Toyah, however, forgave Imran for his infidelity as he begged her to help him get full custody, citing that Abi was using drugs after spirling out of control when Kevin left her. But as viewers know, Imran lied about Abi's drug use in order to get his way in court and shortly before his death he was preparing to confess.
However, in shock scenes, Imran saved his wife's life just weeks after they said 'I Do' after they became trapped in their car after it plowed into a scaffolding-clad building. But as Toyah was bundled into an ambulance, it was Imran who collapsed and died at the scene from a cardiac arrest.
Toyah has since found herself a suspect in her husband's death and was charged last month with the murder of her husband after CCTV footage and other evidence showed there were no attempts to stop the car from hitting the building, or anything wrong with the vehicle to begin with.
She has now been left cast out from the street with only her sister, Leanne Battersby, appearing to be on her side. Last week, Corrie fans saw Imran's mum return to collect Imran's ashes and later telling Toyah she had already buried them when she asked if she could keep some for herself before calling her a murderer as she got in a taxi to leave.
Now it appears Toyah's day in court could be fast approaching as Georgia and several other stars of the ITV soap were spotted filming on-location for the upcoming scenes. Also seen heading into court to film was Millie Gibson, who plays Corrie's Kelly Neelan and Sam Robertson, known for playing Adam Barlow.
Wigan-born Georgia was snapped taking a break on the court steps as the sun shone in Greater Manchester. The 42-year-old was wearing a pair of black, wide-legged trousers with a white shirt tucked in. Her recently dyed blonde locks had been styled into loose curls and she donned a pair of shades as she took a water break.
Millie, who recently won a British Soap Award for her role in the Salford-based soap, was seen hopping out of a car ready to film, donning a smark black dress and matching slingback shoes. She also made sure not to forget her sunglasses and was carrying a bag of make-up to touch up for her scenes.
The pair were also spotted deep in conversation as they were able to enjoy a coffee break in the sunshine between scenes. Sam, who has gone against Toyah as he blames her for his colleague and friend's death, was suited and booted, donning a three-piece navy ensemble with his dark locks slicked back.
And it must have been hot inside as a member of the crew was spotted making his way with to the building with an electric fan in each hand.
Toyah, however, has been a bit preoccupied as she was stunned to see her former boyfriend Spider Nugent back in Weatherfield. Martin Hancock reprised the role as Emily Bishop's eco-warrior nephew last month and was soon helping his ex with a local protest.
The pair were soon thick as thieves until Spider got caught trying to turn the old brewery building into a squat but was caught red-handed by Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey.
