Vicky Entwistle said her "world crumbled" when she found out about her husband's cancer diagnosis.
The soap star is renowned for her role as Janice Battersby on Coronation Street. The 54-year-old is set to come to Liverpool next month to host a Prostate Cancer UK Carol Concert at St George's Hall.
The cause is close to her heart as Vicky became a supporter of the charity after her husband, Andy, was diagnosed with the condition. She said: "When Andy was diagnosed, both our worlds started to crumble.
