Max Turner appears to have a crush if his latest Coronation Street scenes are anything to go by. The teen was back on-screen during Monday night's (June 6) trip to the cobbles as he continued to attend a pupil referral unit after being kicked out of Weatherfield High.
The final straw for the troublesome teen came after it was revealed he was behind the spiking of fellow pupil Amy Barlow with his intended target being teacher Daniel Osbourne, who discovered Max's wrongdoing and kept it quiet to save his own skin after pushing him down the stairs.
Max then faced another talking to from David, and the prospect of going to prison, he decided to do a runner but needed his phone from the barbers and without David's help, he smashed the glass of the barber's door but ended up lacerating his leg on the broken glass on the way out and collapsed onto the street where he was found and helped by Jacob Hay.

Since his accident, Max was keeping a low profile until a couple of weeks ago when David and wife Shona had worrying about sharing some news with him. They ordered a takeaway in a bid to soften the blow when they broke the news to Max that he will be attending a Pupil Referral Unit for a year.
But things appear to be going well for Max, much to his dad's relief, and it may have something to do with the fact that he has taken a liking to newcomer Sonya, one of the girls he and his new friends from the PFU have been hanging round with. And things took a new step during the latest trip to the cobbles as the smitten teen got chatting to his potential love interest.
The messages soon became flirty, with Sonya calling Max 'cute' before the pair appeared to agree to go out on a date. But Max, played by Paddy Bever, baffled Corrie fans with his use of one particular slang world. As Sonya called him 'cute', Max replied: "I think the word you're looking for is... Hench."
@alig1972 tweeted: "Ok who else just Googled ‘Hench’ ?!?! #Corrie." @clairelt83 asked: "What is Hench? Lol i’m not down with the kids #corrie." @deanobeanos commented: "Must be getting old had to Google the meaning of hench #Corrie." Elaine Weyman wrote on Facebook: "What does hench actually mean? I saw Max tying it and have no idea." Rachel James replied: "Built/muscly," to which she received many thanks as others too didn't know what the word meant.
But it wasn't just confusion. @midnight_babyy said: "Not the word hench on #Corrie CRINGE." @tearsdryswift tweeted: "MAX THINKING HES ‘HENCH’ IM SCREAMING #Corrie." @Sasha_Rose_ added: "Still cant get over Max calling himself hench lololololol."
Corrie fans, however, think there is more to come with the storyline with many predicting a major twist that will certainly trigger Max's former ways. @MitchellWebb85 tweeted: "I think max is getting set up by his so called friends this won’t end well #Corrie."
@mikepriestley13 echoed: "I think it’s not the girl messaging max it’s one of his “mates” just a thought #Corrie." @teenamassam shared: "I have a feeling Max is being set up for a beating, I might be wrong but… #corrie." @midnight_babyy commented: "Max is deffo getting catfished #Corrie."
