Coronation Street fans were quick to comment on social media about a missing character as violence broke out on screen. ITV soap couple Tyrone Dobbs and Fiz Stape have been under strain in recent weeks after they discovered an unknown person has gone to the press with a book they have written all about Fiz's ex-husband.
Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, was sure it was Fiz's jilted ex Phill Whittaker leaking the information after it was revealed earlier this year that he was gathering information on John to write a book. However, as the story made it into the Gazette, Tyrone spotted a clue that revealed the person behind the leaked information.
However, it wasn't long before they discovered the truth when Fiz, played by Jennie McAlpine, joked that Tyrone's grandmother Evelyn Plummer wouldn't be happy to know that they have aged her in the article by saying she's 92. The penny then dropped and Tyrone remembered that he jokingly told Hope that's how old Evelyn was when she quizzed him on her great-grandmother's age.

The schoolgirl then confessed to divulging information to her 'friend' on her game, who goes by the name Mad Dog. While Tyrone was furious, Fiz kept reminding her daughter that what has since happened wasn't her fault. Tyrone and Fiz were later seen in the Rovers talking to solicitor Adam Barlow about their options to get the book publication and articles stopped.
But during Wednesday night's (November 2) trip to Weatherfield, there was panic for Tyrone and Fiz after the latter got a phone call from daughter Hope's (Isabella Flanagan) school to say that she had gone missing.
It came after Adam told them he was able to put stop the Gazette's articles on the book - for now. Meanwhile, Hope was tracked down to Victoria Gardens where she was with Sam Blakeman. Nick Tilsely's son explained to Fiz that Hope had been upset when some girls at school teased her over her real dad and so he decided to walk Hope home.
While Fiz tried to be sympathetic over Sam's well-meaning actions, she told the schoolboy she had been worried sick and he should have brought her home. However, Nick interrupted just as Fiz was saying this to Sam and he ended up telling her off for "shouting" at his son.
Nick then ordered his son to stay away from Hope and later, upon hearing about the confrontation with Nick, Tyrone saw red. He stormed out and headed over to Nick's flat and as his neighbour answered the door, Tyrone punched him right in the face.
But while the latest drama was kicking off for the Stape-Dobbs household, Corrie fans couldn't help but point out another character was nowhere to be seen. @MeeshyJay tweeted: "Where is Ruby? Ty has obviously forgotten that he actually has a biological child #Corrie."
@HelenAPat commented: "Hope's not the only one missing. Ruby's been missing for weeks and no one's noticed! #Corrie." @Kathlee53178282 asked: "Where is Ruby you know Tyrone's daughter? #corrie." @SmalesRachel echoed: "Why do we never see Ruby? #Corrie."
Others, however, are calling for another return. @sumac8 wrote: "This is all so tedious, where’s Evelyn when you need her? #Corrie." Joyce Overton demanded on Facebook: "Bring back evelyn character please corrie too bring back some fun into the show."
