ITV Coronation Street fans predict Stephen Reid's downfall as well as next victim - and it's not Carla

Coronation Street fans think they know exactly how Stephen Reid's downfall can begin - if someone finally puts two and two together. During the latest trip to Weatherfield on Wednesday night (March 15), viewers watched in rage as Carla Connor grew increasingly erratic and terrified as she believes her psychosis has returned.

But as viewers of the ITV soap know, the Underworld boss is being drugged by bogus businessman - and serial killer - Stephen Reid with the hallucinogenic drug LSD as he continues his mission to claw her beloved factory away from her.

After she and her husband Peter Barlow shared their concerns with Dr Gaddass about Carla's changing state, the businesswoman headed off to work for an important meeting with reps for an American company at the factory. But Carla, played by Alison King, once again tried to put Stephen, played by Todd Boyce, in his place and accused him of being a glorified tea boy, sending him off to make the drinks.

But she made a big mistake as armed with the hallucinogenic drug, Stephen once again tampered with Carla's coffee. While his plan was almost thwarted by none other than Sally Metcalfe as she popped over to remind Stephen of Carla's milk choice and even offered to finish off the drinks herself, Stephen refused the help. Then he added more LSD into Carla's hot beverage leading to her spiralling and ordering her staff to leave as they celebrated their latest deal.

However, Corrie viewers were shouting at their TVs as Sally came close to uncovering what Stephen is up to as, worried for Carla and her state of mind, she quickly went to get Peter when she then pointed out to Stephen: "She was fine beforehand, when she told me to ask you about the milk."

Taking to social media, @JuJulesberry begged: "Can they pleeeeeease hurry and make the connection between Stephen's brews and Carla's episodes #Corrie." @LilMissMystic asked: "When is Carla going to twig that every time she asks Stephen to make her tea is when she takes a trip to LSD Street? #Corrie."

@pam_debeauvoir wrote: "If that was you, you'd question what you just ate, drank, did, to make you suddenly start hallucinating and feeling like shite...people would be asking what you just ate, drank, did....can Peter not make the connection. Can anybody! A 5 year old would work it out #Corrie."

@LisaBro21177876 shared: "WHEN IS SOMEBODY GOING TO PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER FOR GOD SAKES. Its hardly difficult to put it together. Every time he makes the Tea!! #Corrie." While @Jamal06122771 added: "Wow, Peter think like Sally. She said Carla was fine before the Coffee #corrie #coronationstreet."

Meanwhile, fans think they know who Stephen's next victim will be - and it won't actually be Carla. They believe Rufus Donahue will be next after he made it clear to Stephen that he had figured out he was drugging Carla with the LSD he has been providing with him and was all to happy to tell Carla about it.

@GinaLouLoves tweeted: "That’s it, Rufus is next #Corrie." @LillyBelle19 said: "I'm chuffed Rufus had sussed Stephen, but he's next to end up in a wheelie bin #Corrie." @MeeshyJay echoed: "Rufus will be the next one for the bins. So predictable #Corrie." @Claire_Johnsonx added: "Rufus is gunna be Stephen’s next victim #Corrie."

And Corrie spoilers for next week have revealed that as a scheming Stephen is about to sign the American contract, Rufus appears and tells him to tear it up as he wants sole rights to Nippersnapper. Threatening Stephen, Rufus says if he doesn't play ball, he'll tell everyone how he's been drugging Carla. Picking up the hole punch, a furious Stephen approaches Rufus. Does this mean he will kill again and claim his third victim?
