ITV Coronation Street fans predict nasty Frank twist as George struggles over bullying hell

Coronation Street fans are predicting a nasty twist in George Shuttleworth's storyline with newcomer Frank Bardsley. The character, played by Simon O'Brien, made his first Weatherfield appearance at the end of last month when he made his way into the Rovers Return where he got chatting to Sean Tully.

He started to talk to to the barman and Underworld machinist, played by Antony Cotton, About his experiences in the online dating world as he waited for his next date to show up for a drink. Frank joked about swiping the wrong way on his apps meaning he keeps meeting men that he really isn't really interested in.

Not one to miss out on a bit of drama, Sean agreed to help Frank cut his latest date short by pretending to be a disgruntled love interest. But despite putting on his best dramatics, the date wasn't having any of it so Sean commented that Frank had a strange rash 'down there' which soon saw his date scupper.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and Sean and Frank are now enjoying a few dates themselves. Earlier this week, Frank was introduced to George at the Rover's Return where it soon became apparent that they already know each other. George went on to confess all to partner Eileen Grimshaw in an emotional scene as he admitted that Frank used to bully him when they went to school together.

During Wednesday night's edition of Corrie (June 8), Eileen tried to get George to give Frank the benefit of the doubt and see if he is a changed man. They joined Sean and Frank for a meal at the Bistro where Frank commented about the cruel nature of bullying. With things seeming to have gone well, Frank got up to pay for the bill while George offered to at least give the tip.

But as the undertaker made his way to the bar, he heard Frank humming a song that he clearly used to ridicule him as a kid thanks to his family's line of work. He hit out at Frank before storming out and later, back at Eileen's, he told his girlfriend that he was going to go back home as he didn't like the person he was around Frank.

And now, Corrie fans think there's a lot more to come. @Momrocks50 tweeted: "Have a feeling Frank is not a nice person one little bit #Corrie." @rubyrache said: "I don't trust Sean's dodgy boyfriend Frank. He scares me never mind George. #Corrie." @JillHudson21 wrote: "I have a feeling Frank is going to show his true self very soon!! #corrie."

@JamieTVandNews predicted: "Frank's gonna start bullying George again, isn't he? #Corrie." @mikepriestley13 questioned: "So this Frank was a nasty piece of work question is, is he still horrible and could Sean be next in line? #Corrie."
