Carla Mendonca who plays the role of Orla has had a great career but most fans may remember her as Sophie Johnson in a hit ITV show from the early 2000s. Taking on the role of a shapeshifting parent, she appeared in My Parents Are Aliens for several years.
One viewer watching tonight said: "Is it just me or is that Sophie from My Parents Are Aliens in Coronation Street?" Another added: "Haha I recognised her face straight away but couldn't place her!
