ITV Coronation Street fans figure out new crash culprit that isn't Toyah after spotting interesting detail

There was more drama on the cobbles on Thursday night as word of the accident and Imran Habeeb's shock death made its way through Weatherfield. Earlier this week Coronation Street viewers saw the solicitor suffer a cardiac arrest after being involved in a car accident with new wife Toyah.

The full extent of what happened in the lead up to the horror smash remains a mystery but during the latest edition of the ITV soap, fans were relieved when Abi and Kevin Webster were released from the police station after being under suspicion of causing the accident.

But that only came after Kelly Neelan, Imran and Toyah's former foster daughter, paid Toyah a visit to plead Abi's case and told the newlywed that her husband was getting ready to confess to all his wrongdoings when it came to getting custody of his son, Alife, whom he fathered after a one-night stand with former drug addict Abi.

With Toyah claiming Imran hadn't told her anything, an upset Kelly left the hospital and headed straight for the police station where she told them everything she knew about Imran's lies to get custody of his son and how he told her that he was one his way to reveal all to Toyah before they crashed.

Suspicions are now rife that Toyah is hiding something and that her now-deceased husband may have told her everything while they were driving home after it was confirmed that she didn't attempt to use the brakes on the car before plugging into a building covered in scaffolding which later collapsed when Imran became a hero and dragged Toyah to safety.

And Corrie fans were quick to praise Kelly. @MJ_JJ061215 tweeted: "Hooray for Kelly (@MillieGibson01) for telling the police the truth. So glad Abi & Kevin were released without charge. Abi just needs Alfie back now." @Momrocks50 wrote: "Good girl Kelly telling truth to help Abi #corrie."

@j_raff2021 commented: "Bravo Kelly Neelan. You save Kevin and Abi for going to prison. @MillieGibson01 #Corrie." @CxxPIPxx said: "Kelly's redemption is coming on in leaps and bounds eh #Corrie." Suzanne Carrigan added on Facebook: "Over the past few months Kelly has definitely gone from zero to hero! Love her."

But some soap watchers also think Toyah may well be innocent and that there is another culprit after they spotted a very interesting detail. Eage-eyed Corrie fans spotted a car close to the crash site but it drove off just as Imran pulled his wife out of the wreckage - and they think paralegal Ben may have something to do with it.

@src1987 said: "Noo I think it's the guy who Imran got to lie for him. Did anyone else see the grey/silver car stop and drive off when it crashed." @janetbeaman6 echoed: "There was a car in the background I'm sure it slowed down then drove off." To which @angc681 replied: "Yes there was I saw that. I think the lad who lied for Imran has something to do with it."

Jackie Webb wrote on Facebook: "The young lad who Imran employed.. did no one notice the car driving up and stopping after the crash then turning back round and driving off again.. before the emergency services arrived?" @lucystevenson22 tweeted: "Ben killed imran for sure #Corrie."

@Charlotte_K13 asked: "Did anyone notice that black car driving off just near where the crash happened? #Corrie." @floweroflondon added: "Ben is the most likely candidate, but what was Hope doing? #Corrie."
