ITV Coronation Street fans can't handle the stress during 'weird' episode as Kevin loses it

Coronation Street fans could feel the tension radiating through the screen as Kevin Webster finally snapped. The mechanic, played by Michael Le Vell in the ITV soap, has put himself under a lot of pressure of late amid wife Abi returning home with her son, Alfie.

The pair, who married last year, have finally reunited after Abi relapsed while also giving birth to her surprise baby after sleeping with neighbour Imran Habeeb. Following a custody battle and the death of Alfie's solicitor father, Abi has done everything she can to get her baby boy back.

After help from a familiar face, Wendy Crozier, Abi got her wish with Kevin's full support. However, he's had to deal with his son Jack. During Monday night's episode (July 25), viewers saw Kevin trying to be there for his son's end of year presentation at school. But his work partner Tyrone Dobbs had booked a car in to the garage as a priority and promised the customer Kev would be able to do it.

Albeit reluctantly, he got to work on the car but soon received a worrying phone call from the school who had contacted him to let him know Jack had got into a fight which left Kevin furious. But there was heartbreak for the dad-of-three when he later learnt that Jack is being bullied after someone found out Tyrone initially thought he was Jack’s dad.

Then, during the latest installment of Corrie on Wednesday night, Kevin's mood didn't improve as he rushed to make sure the house was ready for a social worker's visit before Abi could return with Alfie. Jack, however, told his dad that he's not looking forward to Abi coming back, because Kevin hardly pays him any attention as it is.

Over at work, newbie Aaron tried to take the pressure off his new boss Kevin by offering to fix Stephen Reid's car. There was a moment where Kev fell asleep behind the wheel as Aaron got to work. He sent the car off with Stephen before being able to give it a test run and it wasn't long before Audrey's son was back in the garage after the car breaks down again.

Stephen was furious and hit out at Kevin, but it ended up being the last straw for the garage owen and he snapped, picking up a wrench and smashing up Stephen’s car. He was then arrested and as he apologised at the station, agreeing to speak to Stephen and fix his car, Kevin was informed that he could still be charged with criminal damage.

Meanwhile, Abi excitedly returned home and whisked Kevin off to the pub to celebrate a child-free night before Alfie is but back into their care. But a stressed Kevin didn't appear to be enjoying the evening. And Corrie fans didn't appear to be enjoying the latest episode either.

Others were worried for Kev's health. @hollycarruthers shared: "Kevin is under too much stress gunna end up having a heart attack #corrie." @penniless_poet wrote: "Quick! Someone tell Aggie to make up a bed at Werthy General for little Kev incoming! #Corrie." @MeeshyJay commented: "Abby will come back with the baby and Kevin will end up in the hospital #corrie."
