Coronation Street fans spotted a problem as Emma Brooker's exit storyline was confirmed.
The character, played by Alexandra Mardell, is set to leave Weatherfield on Friday's episode. She has endured a turbulent time on the Cobbles ever since she was in the car when Faye Windass accidentally ran over an elderly man named Ted.
Emma and Faye were initially relieved when Ted was seemingly unharmed from the incident, but later discovered he had died from his injuries. The two recruited PC Craig Tinker to help cover up their involvement in his death, but Emma has since become romantically involved with Ted's grandson, Jon.

Emma tried to distance herself from Jon after he declared he loved her. However, Jon recognised Craig at Emma's flat, which prompted her to confess the truth about what happened in tonight's show.
Jon eventually forgave Emma over her involvement in his grandad's death and suggested it was their destiny to be together. Emma accepted his request to move to Australia and the two look set to exit the Cobbles in happy circumstances in Friday's episode.
However, viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted by the storyline and suggested it was unrealistic that Emma would be able to move to Australia so quickly.
Sydney said: "Emma wouldn’t just ‘go’ to Australia just like that She’ll need her visa."
Kyle tweeted: "How has she got a visa in a day."
Dennis added: "So that's two soaps flouting the Australian visa laws in the space of a couple of months"
Lisa commented : "I wish it was that easy to just up sticks & move to Australia!"
