ITV Coronation Street baffles fans as issue spotted after Abi rushed to hospital

Coronation Street fans spotted an issue after Abi Martin was rushed to hospital.

Wednesday's edition of the long-running soap continue to explore the character's downward spiral.

Abi prematurely gave birth to a baby boy earlier this week after an alcohol and drug fuelled bender with her friend, Dean.

Abi was admitted to hospital again in tonight's episode after she crashed a stolen car into the side of a skip as she tried to rescue the business after Dean had stolen a car from Kevin Webster's garage

Toyah Battersby was checking up on her friend and visited her in the hospital once she found out Abi had been in an accident.

The character, played by Georgia Taylor, arrived at the medical centre and was told by a nurse she had retained some "placenta".

A shocked Toyah realised that Abi had given birth - and quizzed Aggie Bailey about whether it was truth.

Aggie gave an unimpressed look towards her colleague, but viewers following the show on Twitter were confused that a medical professional would commit such a blunder.

Tina said: "Patient confidentiality is drummed into you in the NHS, yet they're just blabbing out particularly sensitive information on #Corrie"

Danny added: "Patient confidentiality are dirty words in #Corrie"

Dave posted : "These doctors have no patient confidentiality at all, blurting out that she’s had a baby"

Jenny commented: "B****y hell patient confidentiality at Weathy general is sooo bad. And Aggie popping up everywhere in the hospital what is going on"

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV and ITV Hub
