Andy Whyment is firmly established as a Coronation Street legend.

The 41-year-old soap star has played Kirk Sutherland on the long-running ITV show since 2000. The actor has played Kirk through some of the show's most dramatic storylines as he had a rollercoaster romance with Fiz Brown before he found love with Beth Tinker.

Kirk has endured a difficult week on the soap as his marriage was on the rocks after a dispute with Beth. The character felt he couldn't believe Beth after she lied about hitting Hope Stape.
