ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers make the same Amanda Holden complaint minutes into show

Britain's Got Talent burst back onto screens on Saturday night - albeit slightly later than usual. The latest instalment of the ITV talent show was pushed back by a few minutes due to Liverpool and Chelsea's FA Cup final tie going to penalties.

But as well as the nail-biting action on the pitch, viewers were also divided as to whether to tune into rival BBC One for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. @bhoy_irish tweeted: "What to watch? #BGT or #Eurovision." Whereas @StevenLovatt90 wrote: "I’m in on a Saturday night but won’t be watching #BGT it’s all about the #Eurovisiontonight! Let’s go! Come on #SamRyder."

The latest instalment of BGT eventually got underway with a nod to a pantomime favourite thanks to act number one Dame Nation, who spiced up the lyrics to 'It's Raining Men' with 'It's Raining Dames'. But it wasn't long until fans of the show were complaining about judge Amanda Holden.

The TV star was back alongside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams when 14-year-old comedian Eva took to the stage and told the judges that she wasn't nervous at all. The teen, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was a hit with the four judges as well as the London Palladium audience.

But as she performed, viewers couldn't help but comment on 51-year-old Amanda's habit. @kelli3louise tweeted: "Here comes Amandas cackle #bgt." @lukeh1011 fumed: "Oh god here comes Amanda annoying fake laugh SHUT UP! #BritainsGotTalent #BGT."

@selinaarmstrong commented: "Why does Amanda’s laugh sound like Finger nails on a blackboard #BGT."@@tbykim wrote: "Amanda's laugh is horrifying #bgt."

@tbykim shared: "I have nightmares about amanda's fake laugh #BGT." @arty566 added: "Alexa !!! Stop Amanda cackling like a witch! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

However, it appears fans weren't too distracted as they shared plenty of praise for student Eva who poked fun at her disability and being from the Black Country. @MrDeanR95 tweeted: "Absolutely loved Eva on Britain's Got Talent tonight. Just shows that a disability does not make you stop living your life to the full. I'm going to love seeing her performing more stand up routines in the next round. Good on you girl !! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent."

@IanMcGillivra17 wrote: "Eva is something rare in comedy today she was funny ,brave and confident for such a young girl #BGT." @Amy80115720 added: "Eva was such a likeable person, so funny and witty and watching her Dad in the audience was heartwarming #BGT."
