ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers all say same thing as 'singing' dog gets four yesses

Britain's Got Talent viewers made the same comment after a singing dog wowed the judges with an Alesha Dixon song. The ITV talent show returned on Saturday night (May 27) as Alesha, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and new judge Bruno Tonioli embarked on the final round of auditions.

Kicking off the show was Michelle and her adorable pooch Mouse. Both the audience and judges were captivated by his cuteness, as, dressed in a Union Jack bow tie, he appeared unfazed by the crowd.

When asked what she'd spend the prize money on if they won the competition, Michelle said she would pay for a new pair of hips for her five-year-old pet. Sat with her arms around him, a song began to play. Alesha burst out laughing as soon as she realised it was her track, Breathe Slow.

"It's my song!" she declared, as Amanda responded: "Oh, it's your song? Is it?" As soon as Alesha's vocals came in, without missing a beat, Mouse began to howl - or, rather, 'sing.'

Backstage, Ant and Dec made a jibe. "That's an Alesha song," Dec realised, giving a smirk before adding: "To be fair, I do that when Alesha comes on the radio."

The audience was cracking up with laughter and erupted in cheers as the 'singing' continued, while Ant and Dec continued to joke: "Maybe it's a cry for help?" The pair mimicked the dog's noises, howling: "Turn it off!"

The performance got Simon's seal of approval, as he stated: "Sometimes you hear a great song and think it can't be better. But actually that was better than the original." He added: "I'm being serious - and I don't say that very often".

Amanda suggested that if Mouse made it through, he could perform with Alesha. "It would be different - I like a challenge!" Alesha quipped.

All four judges voted to put Michelle and Mouse through to the next round. Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts on the performance - and most of them agreed with Simon's remark.

@Willswhinge reckoned: "The dog sounds better than Alisha #BGT" while @StillNotWitty agreed: "He sings it better than she does #BGT" and @jeremystokes13 said: "Better than Alisha #bgt".

@AuditionPianist tweeted: "That's the first time Alesha's heard it in tune #BGT" and @Andiamluke said: "It sounded better than the original #bgt".

@closetasiangay praised: "Breathe Slow was a tune #BGT" while @MattZeeMiller joked: "Eurovision 2024 already sorted for UK #BGT".
