ITV Britain's Got Talent under fire as fans spot 'famous' contestant

ITV's Britain's Got Talent viewers have noticed one of the contestants who auditioned in front of judges on Saturday night is in fact already famous.

The hit show returned to the screens after a year long break. Simon Cowell took his spot in the judges panel alongside Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams, who dressed up as the missing Golden Buzzer.

The judges faces dropped when they saw Tulga, originally from Mongolia, who wowed audiences by performing death-defying tricks while carrying a 40kg burning log. However, this is not the first time the strong man has appeared on television.

Tulga has competed on five different Got Talent shows, including the American and World editions. He has also participated in BGT spin offs in France, Australia, Czech-Slovak and China, and appeared in the fifth season of the Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales.

In 2019, Tulga competed on the World's Got Talent special held in China and in that same year, Tulga appeared on the ninth season of Australia's Got Talent, where he was eliminated in the Judge Cuts. But it doesn't stop there. Tulga also competed on the TBS competition series Go Big Show in 2021 in which he was runner-up of the competition.

Simon Cowell joked: "Tulga, I want you to be my security guard". David Walliams added: "I was completely blown away".

But one fan, Daniella, said: "Tulga a strongman act from season 12 of America’s got Talent……why do they keep doing this?"

Twitter users were disappointed to find that Tulga wasn't based in the UK and travelled from the US.

@FeoNo2 said: "This show has drastically gone downhill. More professional acts than ever, it's BRITAIN'S got talent not 'let's fly professionals from all over the world to make our show relevant'." @DDurwent added: "Britain's got Talent most are professional performers and working in Vegas."

Meanwhile, @abush90 said: "Mrs put Britain's got talent on. Half the people on it ain't even from Britain. Am I missing something here!"

User @primetimemafia also agreed: "Tulga "it's the biggest stage in the world". No pal, you got cut by the judges on americas got talent! #BGT"
