ITV Britain's Got Talent host Ant McPartlin forced to stop show and apologise as act goes wrong

Britain's Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec had to step in during the show's final on Sunday, June 4, to apologise to viewers. Various acts have battled it out over five live semi finals, as five acts were put through to the finale.

But during the showpiece event, contestant Viggo Venn could be heard swearing as his performance seemed to go wrong, Liverpool Echo reports. Viggo was reminded by Ant and Dec that he was live on air.

At the end of the performance, instead of handing straight over to the judges, Ant halted proceedings to apologise for any swearing people may have heard. He said: "We've got to apologise for any bad language you heard during that."

Several viewers picked up on the expletive. Chelsea Hazelhurst tweeted: "Am I hearing things or did he just swear?" User @Erdogan44 said: "Did he just swear?" @Mariahscracker tweeted: "Viggo just swore."

@OliReading said: "#BGT usually in an act like that when something goes wrong I assume it's planned but it did seem accidental in that case since he swore about it." And @Kirstie_xxo said: "Viggo is just hilarious - the fact he said 'oh s***' - how he's actually captured the nation with his high-vis action he's even funnier on tiktok and spends all his time entertaining people in queues for #BGT."
