ITV Britain's Got Talent fans 'sick' as unusual act sparks 66 Ofcom complaints

ITV Britain's Got Talent viewers were left disturbed by one of the semi finalists during Monday night's show.

Hopeful Ichikawa Koikuchi left viewers absolutely horrified by his routine, which saw the comedian spread himself on the ground and begin to fart.

Viewers at home were not impressed by his 'act' and took to Twitter to vent. One penned: "this is horrible and so incredibly awkward to watch i want to cry #bgt."

Another fumed: "Am I really sitting watching a lad s*** himself on tv with a string quartet & ballerina in the background."

While one added: "That farting act made me feel sick!! #BGT."

Ichikawa attempted to fart along to a song, but the judges were unimpressed and pushed their buzzers.

One fan wrote: “An act that deserved to go through missed out because of this.”

While another typed: “A grown man farting on live tv… and that is talent… oh deary me.”

And another added: “It’s embarrassing that this act is even being shown…”

Ofcom confirmed that 66 complaints were lodged shortly after his audition aired. They said: "Complaints related to a performance by self-proclaimed ‘fartist’ Ichikawa Koikuchi."

Another fan was furious at the 'disgusting act', they said: "I don't why you bothered putting him through to the live shows. There was a similar act to this serveral years ago on UK version of BGT that you thought it was disgusting. Why did you put this guy through, while denying someone with real talent a shot of winning the contest."
