Dr. Henry David Abraham, a professor of psychiatry emeritus at Tufts University School of Medicine and a shared recipient of the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize, recently joined SiriusXM radio’s Dean Obeidallah show to discuss President Donald Trump’s cognitive health. Abraham is part of a prominent group of 36 physicians who previously issued a formal statement calling for the removal of Trump from office via the 25th Amendment, citing concerns that he is mentally unfit.
When asked by Obeidallah if anything had changed since the group submitted their initial conclusion to the congressional record, Abraham was direct, claiming. “Yeah, if anything it’s worse.” He continued, “It’s subtle in terms of his mental status because a lot of it is more of the same. But when you get confirmatory evidence that points in the same direction again and again, after a while you sort of know what you’re dealing with and you kind of know what needs to be done.”
