Retired Italy star Roberto Baggio fell victim to a harrowing armed robbery at his residence while watching the European Championship match between Italy and Spain. The incident occurred at Baggio's villa near Vicenza, where a group of at least five armed robbers forcibly entered the premises around 10 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Reports from Italian media indicate that during the robbery, Baggio was struck on the head with the butt of a gun after confronting the intruders. Subsequently, the robbers proceeded to lock Baggio, aged 57, and his family members in a room while they ransacked the property, making off with valuables such as jewelry, watches, and cash.
