Italian street food favourites Dirty Gnocchi is opening in Cardiff Market

A popular Italian street food company based in Newport is making its welcome return to the Welsh capital, serving up deep fried gnocci, homemade pasta - in a giant cheese wheel - and more.

Run by husband and wife team Rhys and Laura Keogh, who are from Cardiff and previously owned the award-winning The Pot and La Pentola - which they sold following the pandemic - Dirty Gnocchi started off as a street food trader at Cardiff's DEPOT in 2021 and from there, the duo went on to grow a beloved following with various food takeovers at Corporation Yard, Sticky Fingers and Neighbourhood Kitchen - among others.

Earlier this year, the couple expanded their venture and opened Dirty Gnocchi's first permanent stall at Newport Market. Continuing to trade at food festivals, such as Newport Food Festival this coming weekend, they've gone from strength to strength and recently revealed the exciting news that they would be returning to Cardiff at the city's very own Indoor Market for its second permanent store.
