Former Arsenal star Ian Wright has expressed concern for two of Liverpool’s key players.
The Reds are going through a poor run of form at the moment. Their 3-0 defeat at Wolves on Saturday means they have lost their last three Premier League away fixtures, conceding three goals in each of them.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are also without a win in their last four matches in the top flight. That run of form has saw them drop to 10th place in the table and fall 11 points outside the Champions League qualifying spots.

One area of concern for Liverpool has been the defence. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are currently sidelined with injuries, while Joel Matip and Joe Gomez have been criticised for their recent performances.
Wright has spoken about the Reds current woes, highlighting Van Dijk and Gomez in particular. The Arsenal legend has explained why he thinks the attitude towards the duo from opposition players may have changed.
“The way that they played when they dominated,” Wright told Premier League Productions. “It was like a full core press with pure energy.
“From front to midfield. This is why you couldn’t get to people like Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
“You are looking at Van Dijk and Gomez, in certain situations and think, ‘wow, I didn’t know you could get by him like that’.
“They’re making mistakes. This is because of the way they defended from the front, winning the ball and it was relentless.”
